Hip Hales are designed as single structures or as a group that can be connected. Hip Hale 24', 576 sqft interior space with 720 sqft porch extension, is designed as a main house with a living room, dining room and kitchen.

Hip Hales 14', 12', and 10' are smaller structures for bedrooms, studios and offices off of the main house. This photo shows connected Hip Hales with tile roofs and cement and stucco walls on several houses, and one house (left) before cement walls.

The following Hip Hale Materials, Costs and Options are based on all bamboo frame, roof and wall panels. Another option (shown in photo) is bamboo frame and roof panels with ferro-cement wall panels provided by the owner. Please contact us for details about this option.

For insulated homes for hot and cold climates, the customer determines R-Values required and chooses from insulation options.
